ABOUT CHAD GRAY:
After quitting a factory job, Chad Gray moved to Peoria, Illinois and formed Mudvayne. The band's first album, L.D. 50, was released in 2000 having sold over half a million copies within a year of its release. Mudvayne went on to become one of the most successful heavy metal acts of the 2000s, and released four more studio albums; The End of All Things to Come (2002), Lost and Found (2005), The New Game (2008) and Mudvayne (2009), before going on hiatus in 2010. In 2021, the band announced that Mudvayne were reuniting for their first shows in over a decade, and and in summer of 2025, released their first new music in 16 years, "Hurt People Hurt People" and “Sticks and Stones.”
In 2006, Gray and Nothingface guitarist Tom Maxwell, formed supergroup, Hellyeah which featured Mudvayneguitarist Greg Tribbett and Pantera and Damageplan drummer Vinnie Paul. In 2014, and guitarist Christian Brady and bassist Kyle Sanders. Vinnie Paul passed away on June 22, 2018, while completing the album Welcome Home. The album was completed in September 27, 2019 and the remaining members did a celebration oflife tour to support the album and to honor Vinnie Paul. After their final show in 2020 on Shiprocked, Hellyeahhas been on a permanent hiatus.
